Boingo Wi-Finder App Reviews

Absolute rubbish. Rarely connects manually, almost never automatically. Junk, garbage, bad. The app has one job and fails at it. Manually logging in to Boingo is the only solution.

I downloaded it 6 months ago and I live in nyc with so many boingo hotspots everywhere but have had zero success rate on getting connected. It has never worked. Dont waste of your time.

Producing the dreaded "whoops! Sorry we couldnt get you connected..." message is all this app is good at. I dont think Ive ever connected to a boingo hotspot using it. Very frustrating.

If your looking for for a business & app that could win a contest for the very worst you are in the right place. In the test of time they have proven to have consistently failed and seem quite satisfied with there mediocrity.

Why dont you fix this app?! Fix it or shut it down.

Works very well when I connect between other internet providers which is awesome!

Do not purchase your account through iTunes. After purchasing the monthly subscription, I too received the whoops unable to connect app. I called Boingo, who told me since I dont have a Boingo account to call iTunes, for customer support. Good luck fining a phone number for customer support. Im now stuck at the airport with a couple of unhappy kids for the next 8 hours. Ive emailed apple for a full refund.

I am supposed to receive free internet access via Boingo as an Amex benefit. Not only does it not work, it interferes with free access offered at places such as Heathrow and Geneva International. My internet would only connect after deleting the Boingo app and never worked in places where it was supposed to get me access within the partner network. Useless.

Do Not buy the app. This app is useless. Purchased this app during trans Atlantic travel. It does not allow you to connect free internet which can be connected without app.

Tons of bugs.. Cannot connect to TWC wifi. Just no. Dont tell me you cant even find one guy to do this!

Its horrible. It doesnt work, and it prevents one from using free WiFi at airports if the airport is a Boingo hotspot. I deleted it, and now the WiFi works fine. The Boingo account works fine, but this app does not. I just log onto the Boingo hotspot with my username and password rather than using this worthless app.

Biggest waste ever. Stuck at the airport with no wifi and this stupid app is interfering with good connections as well. Big waste, wish I could rate it negative stars.

Ive tried using this in airports and various cities. Everyone I try to Co next it gives me the "woops" BS. Do not trust this app if you are traveling!

Frustrating, rare actual Internet access. I can see the WiFi, just cant connect to it reliably.

I have access to Boingo as an Amex benefit. Ive been using it for connectivity at airports and when traveling internationally. Boingo has great coverage but this app doesnt work. With the app installed Ive had trouble connecting almost every time. The one time I was able to connect with the app was in a Tokyo cafe and then too after a couple of tries. I deleted the app and am able to connect again. I still recommend Boingo but without the app.

The app does not work in any of the 5 countries Ive been to in the last month including the US. The app doesnt connect to any of the boingo networks. Tech support suggest I log in through the website. What a poor solution. How about if you fix the app?

When the app and the wifi do work, it is okay, but you are often charged even though the bandwidth is extremely poor or the service does not work. It is not worth the trouble of maintaining an account.

This app fails completely with connecting to hotspots that Id had success using prior to the last two updates. And seeing other reviews makes me believe Im not alone. Please fix!
