Very good, consistency much better

I love this app and like the new interface. Great app to find free and paid hotspots. Gets you on with one click - nice! Plus their customer service is great; I follow them on twitter.

Best so far quick connects lots of locations

This app has not worked once. I downloaded Boingo and subscribed to one of the Wifi plans for the part of the world I was traveling. I have tried using the app upwards of 25 times in various locations. Every time following the exact instructions given and it has not worked once. If you plan to use this service while traveling for Wifi connection, I highly recommend purchasing a mobile Wifi router from a local provider in the place you are traveling instead. (I did this and it cost around $100 total) With a mobile Wifi router you can use Wifi anywhere as long as the device is on, and you can connect up to 5 or so devices.

I love it when available. With boingo often there is no need to sign up for 3rd party free wifi access. Also boingo is usually the first to alert me that wifi is available in my location thru the notifications Fast customer support if needed and Easy log in each time - reading some of the reviews reminds me some folks cannot be satisfied unless things are perfect....life isnt perfect folks!! thank you Boingo its good enough for me!

We were stranded on a resort in dR with little to no way to communicate out. I remembered that through American Express platinum I downloaded this app that could find hot spots. It hadnt work so well at many of the hot spot locations in the US, but at this particular resort, it worked perfectly. This app single handedly saved our vacation. Shout out to the developers, I hope they work to make this app better in all of the advertised hot spots.

Boingo, just do not claim that you "fixed login issues" with every update, if you did not.

Freezes and shuts down every time I try to use. It is an unusable app. Please fix!

Agree with a previous reviewer - check out the version history and see that all versions say "fixed login issues". Alas, they are not fixed and this app could not login to boingo wifi for me after several attempts. Whats the point then? Fix this thing already...

As a frequent traveler I really appreciate Boingo. Its such a pleasure to be able to turn waiting time into productive time, and on multiple devices.

The app loads fine, detects the connected wifi network that is Boingo-ready, but hangs (then eventually timeout) when I try to logon via the "connect now" button. I travel very frequently for work and this app hasnt work on any of the AT&T Boingo wifi networks discovered.

Great app. No issues with logging in or connecting.

I really dont know why so many people hate on this app. Its 1 million hotspots worldwide, and its $10 a month! Yes it takes me 4 to 5 minutes to log on at times. Yes sometimes it kicks me off and I have to re-login. Yes sometimes it gives me grief. But were talking about $10 a month and the speeds Im getting are fast. I generally get between 15 and 25 Mbits. So Im not quite sure why people are expecting red carpet service for an app that $10 a month for unlimited Wi-Fi all over Los Angeles and worldwide.

Review Updated 9/5/16. The first Jan 2016 app broke the app somehow and subsequent updates dont allow me to connect to the AT&T hotspots with a splash screen that I was previously able to connect to using the app. I think these subsequent updates are designed to remove/hide the bad feedback in the App Store. I fail to connect on both a 6s and 6s+. iOS 9.5.

It is not useless, more than half of the time it works. In the meantime, the stability is an issue they need to address. The app and the connections are not stable. In some cases, it was connected but has no access to Internet…

I used to love Boingo while travelling, and used to use it at work to compensate for poor cell coverage, but all updates for about a year have been broken. Fortunately I keep an old working version on my mac to downgrade to, but at some point, this old version will presumably stop working with the current iOS. They keep releasing upgrades that promise to have "fixed login issue" but never has. Im shocked they can make something this broken, even if that was their goal to begin with. Update: newest version can no longer log on to my local ATT wifi, so I can no longer justify giving it more than a single star, even if it could log on to other boingo networks (something I havent tried). Do these people not know about regression testing? Update 2: february update still broken. Update 3: june. This is a charade. Still broken. Update 4: july. Still broken. Update 5: august 16. "Improved" they said. "Fixed login issues" they said. Still broken. Update 6: 17 aug 16. Theyre at least consistent in their insincere "login issue fixed" claims. Still broken. Update 7: 5 sep. now it claims youre not connected to wifi (when you are) and "helpfully" offers to switch to Settings or ignore everything. Trash app. Update 8: shortly after this review Boingo suspended my account, allegedly for violation of their terms of service. So there.

Prior to the most recent update the app used my location only while it was being used. Thats how I have it set. The post-update version keeps my location on. In order to turn it off I have to go to the phones settings, find the app, and change the location setting to Never.

Keep up the ongoing love for WiFinder. Better with each update.
